Lake Omulew – the Heart of Leisure Around Omulove Zacisze

Lake Omulew is located in the municipality of Nidzica, on the edge of the Napiwodzko-Ramucka Forest. It covers approximately 500 hectares, has an average depth of around 4.3 metres, and is over 32 metres deep at its deepest point. Its irregular shoreline, bays, and islands make every part of the lake look slightly different.

The villages situated on Lake Omulew include Wikno, Jabłonka, and Natać Wielka. In the area, you will find secluded beaches, jetties, water sports equipment rentals, restaurants, and quiet forest roads. The lake is ideal for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boating, and sailing.

Guests at Omulove Zacisze have the lake right next to the house. The private jetty lets you start the day by the water without travelling or planning – you can enjoy your morning coffee, go for a swim, or simply stay on the shore and watch the changing light.

Why Is It Worth Visiting?

Omulew’s greatest advantage is its variety. One day, you can relax on the jetty; the next, you can kayak along the bays, then cycle around the lake or go for a walk in the forest.

The lake is large enough to provide a sense of space while remaining quieter than the best-known lakes in Masuria. From the perspective of Zacisze, the water is not a separate attraction – it is part of everyday life during your stay.

Omulove Tip

Mornings and evenings tend to be the calmest. This is a good time for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, photographing the lake, or enjoying coffee on the jetty. Before heading out on a longer trip, check the weather forecast and wind strength, and take buoyancy aids and a phone in a waterproof case.

Use designated swimming areas and remember that fishing requires a valid permit. When exploring the lake, please respect the reed beds, birds, and privately owned shores.
