Kayaking on the Marózka River – a Forest Adventure near Swaderki

The Marózka River is approximately 43 km long and joins the Łyna River near Kurki. The entire route can be divided into several sections, making it suitable for both a day trip and a longer kayaking expedition.

The most popular options include the Waplewo–Swaderki and Swaderki–Jezioro Święte–Kurki routes. In places, the river flows through a deep ravine covered with pine forest. Along the route, there are lakes, passages through reeds, and sections requiring careful navigation.

Longer options may involve portages near fish ponds and fish farms, so it is best to agree on the exact route with the organizer.

Why Is It Worth It?

The Marózka offers more variety than a peaceful paddle on a lake. During a single trip, the scenery, the width of the river, and the character of the water all change.

The forest ravine, shaded bends, and Jezioro Święte give the kayaking trip a truly adventurous feel, while it is still possible to choose an option suitable for less experienced paddlers.

Organizers from Swaderki help you choose the right section and provide kayaks and transportation.

What Will You Find There?

Depending on the option you choose, you may see:

Waplewo and Lake Myślica,
Lake Maróz,
Swaderki,
the forest ravine of the Marózka River,
passages through reeds,
Jezioro Święte,
Kurki and the confluence with the Łyna River,
possible portages on longer routes,
a variety of river and lake sections.

The distance, duration, and difficulty level depend on the chosen starting and finishing points.

Omulove Tip

Do not choose a section based solely on the number of kilometers. Reed beds, wind on the lakes, and portages can significantly extend the duration of the trip.

When booking, tell the organizer about the group's experience and the children's ages. Bring life jackets, water, sun protection, water shoes, and a dry bag. Before setting off, confirm the current conditions and the pickup location.
